Initial Consultation

What goals do you have for your session & imagery? Who do you want to be photographed with? On the initial consultation phone call we will discuss your needs, answer any questions, and if you decide to move forward, select dates and start planning a tailored portrait or branding session.

Design Consult & Planning

We tailor every session to the goals and desires of each person in our Wynnum studio, whether it is for family portraits, boudoir, or personal branding.

Some considerations are:
- image display intention: digital needs, wall art, etc.
- personal styling and wardrobe
- timeframe
- who is coming (friend, partner, children, dog, just you)

The Day of the Shoot

Welcome to the studio! Let me get you a fresh coffee or a glass of bubbles…

Arrive on time, bring your chosen outfits clean and pressed, and be ready to laugh, relax and feel amazing!

The portrait session will take approximately 90 minutes.

Portrait Session

I will guide and direct you throughout - posing you from the head to toe. You don’t have to know what to do with your hands, I do!

This is not about stiff, formal poses - this is about you and bringing out different facets of your personality. My prompts will guide you and help elicit feelings - always referring back to your goals as outlined in the Design Consultation.

Portraits will take approximately 90 minutes.

Multiple Looks + Studio Wardrobe

During your portrait session at Beautiful Images, you can expect to be photographed in 5-7 looks - you are also welcome to use the studio wardrobe.
Move from casual to corporate to glamorous and play with different moods.

Hair & Makeup

Professional hair and makeup is available to add to your session for $150 per adult.

This is one extra way we can help you feel your best and allow you quality time to relax. Looks can range from minimalist/natural through to full glam, or even fantasy depending on the concept for your session.

Styling will take approximately one hour.

Image Selection

Directly following your photoshoot is your chance to review your photos and select your favourites to order.

Selected images are edited & delivered digitally for your approval. This typically takes three weeks. Any physical prints or wall art is designed and ordered through our partners in Italy, Melbourne or Brisbane for pick up from the studio (direct delivery may be able to be arranged).

Image selection will take approximately one hour.

This is not what you expect.

This is not your average studio photography, certainly not anything like that horrible experience you had all those years ago. No stiff poses, forced smiles or awkward moments.

What I am interested in is real moments. Where you can truly relax and not be focused on what your upper arm looks like, or your teeth, or anything else like that...

I believe the most beautiful images are simple, emotional, authentic, timeless.

I want to break through the camera-training we've all had since birth - where we're trained to put a smile on our face as soon as the camera comes out - regardless of how we actually feel in the moment. Those fake smiles are horrible, and the main reason why people almost always believe they don't look good in photographs.

I believe that when you're actually connecting to the people you're with, focused on just being truly present with what's happening in the moment, when you can set aside all your fears and insecurities about being photographed and really just be you - THAT is beautiful. That is the kind of space I have created here, and THAT is the experience I will take you through.

So, if you detest having your picture taken - welcome.
